This is my '98 Z28 in Sport Metallic Gold. For those that don't know, this was a 1 year color option. A total of 1,399 Camaros had this color, and of those, just 301 are Z28 coupes (non-convertible, V6, or SS). I'm the 2nd owner and the car has just under 30,000 miles. The original owner spent a boatload of money on it at Speed, Inc., nearby in Schaumburg. The LS1 puts out 400hp to the wheels (about 500hp at the crankshaft) plus a nitrous oxide system. The transmission has a 3500 rpm stall torque converter, shift kit and deep aluminum trans pan, aftermarket aluminum drive shaft, and the rear axle is upgraded with differential bearing cap studs, rear cover girdle, and Moser axles. The brakes and many other suspension and chassis upgrades have also been done by myself.
