I thought I would share our progress on the 1969 Z-28 Clone that we are working on.
Over the past few years, the Camaro club has seen some progress on this car during the holiday party. Well, it looks like we are going to finish it this summer. Here are some pictures of the resto to share with the club members. The car is painted now, but we have not uploaded the video.

I was a member of the ICC a few years back when I owned a 97 Camaro SS (SLP car).  During that time the car was featured in Camaro World Magazine and also had a small "readers rides" blurb in Chevy High Performance as well as GM High Tech Performance Magazine. I sold the 97 a back in Fall of 2007 with less than 10,000 original owner miles on it.   Last Fall I decided to get back into the Camaro family but, instead of buying a 2010 model, I wanted to recapture the feeling I had back in the 70s when I owned a 1971 Camaro Coupe. It was my first car and I paid 800 bucks for it in 1976.   Having driven my parents' 1969 Mercury Cougar prior to the Camaro, I had my fill of working on "difficult" cars. By comparison the Camaro was a great, fun car with readily available parts and very simple to work on too. That memory stuck with me and, last Fall, I had the opportunity to get back into a 2nd generation Camaro when I found a 1971 Camaro SS on eBay.  Now, I must admit that I never seriously considered buying a car on eBay. However this one was extra clean and located in Ft. Wayne IN. Close enough to drive over, take a test drive and still get a bid in if I wanted the car. One thing led to another and I was the winner. The owner was kind enough to throw in a ton of original parts including 4 original Rallye wheels, stock exhaust and intake manifolds and lots of other parts.    Attached are 2 pictures of the "new" SS and 1 picture of my original 71 V8 Coupe.   I hope to see you all at a club event or one of the area cruise nights or car shows this Summer!
